Profile
Nidya Ramirez Ibarra is a bilingual (English/Spanish) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who supports individuals, and families in reclaiming their stories and creating meaningful change. As an immigrant and former community organizer, Nidya understands how social and systemic influences shape emotional, relational, and psychological well-being. She works collaboratively with clients to uncover their strengths and rewrite the narratives that no longer serve them.
Nidya earned her Master’s in Counseling with a focus on Marriage and Family Therapy from San Diego State University. Her approach is trauma-informed, client-centered, and grounded in Narrative Therapy. She also integrates EMDR, somatic experiencing, solution-focused techniques, and motivational interviewing to support healing and growth.
With over a decade of experience, Nidya has worked with individuals in crisis, survivors of trauma, and those navigating life transitions, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges. She offers a warm, culturally responsive space where clients can feel heard, supported, and empowered.
