Profile

I am a Registered Somatic Movement Educator and Therapist. My work of expressive arts therapy is guided by the connections of our cellular, social, and political contexts to our physical, mental, and spiritual health. I do this through body awareness, and nervous-system work to integrate traumas, challenges, and ancestral gifts. In addition, I bring the art-making process to nourish resilience and creativity. Working together, we see the deep relationship of our bodies, minds, and behaviors, to influences of the places, communities, and environments we live in, and work with our creative force to heal and build the world we all deserve.

I am a gender-fluid immigrant living in Oregon, and a committed social justice advocate. I am a place-based, political, and sensorial facilitator. I have two decades of experience as a community facilitator, as an advocate for public health, immigrant rights, environmental justice, and community-based development. These experiences taught me the importance of connection, of healing in relationships with others, in order to create new worlds. Throughout my diverse roles I saw how so many of us need systems and opportunities that give us space to cultivate our resilience and self-care, to keep showing up for ourselves and others.

We are NOT a service provider. The directory is meant to be only a resource for all those who identify as Latinx or have ancestral roots in Latin America and anyone engaged in advancing the human rights and dignity of Latinx migrant communities across the United States. This directory is a list of mental health professionals and not a recommendation or guarantee of quality service by LTAN. We highly encourage everyone to research and consult directly with providers before beginning services with them to ensure it is a good fit.
