Profile

Starting therapy is a courageous first step toward making changes in your life. It is often your most courageous self (your self at best) that gets you to take this step.

So often, the hurt or traumatized part of us leads from a place of fear, anger, and sadness. Our personal histories, collective traumas, systems and structures of oppression can work to undermine our best efforts. This can hinder us from living life from an opened hearted and authentic state.

Working together we’ll practice responding to moments of struggle and suffering with grounded compassion and patience. We do this by drawing on your strengths and build on what is already working in your life.

We will envision the life you desire. Engaging in a process working both somatically and in dialogue, we’ll begin to heal the parts that have been hurt and make the changes you seek.

We are NOT a service provider. The directory is meant to be only a resource for all those who identify as Latinx or have ancestral roots in Latin America and anyone engaged in advancing the human rights and dignity of Latinx migrant communities across the United States. This directory is a list of mental health professionals and not a recommendation or guarantee of quality service by LTAN. We highly encourage everyone to research and consult directly with providers before beginning services with them to ensure it is a good fit.
