Profile

With a background in Public Health, both at a systems-level and direct service work, Maya Sol has been able to understand the legacy of white supremacy and oppressive models still in practice today and works collectively to address them. She is a graduate of the University of Denver with a Masters in Social Work with Clinical Mental Health & Global Practice and Sustainability concentrations. Her Spanglish is intentional and a piece of her resilience, especially in institutional and academic spaces. Maya Sol is committed to expanding the pipeline for other Clinicians of Color in the field of holistic wellness – by any means necessary.

Maya Sol is grateful to her mentors, comadres, y compañeras who support her growth and development and inspire her to be brave and balance her activism with self, soul, and community care. She is committed to her healing through canto, baile, danza, cultura and finding time with familia, her love, and her community.

We are NOT a service provider. The directory is meant to be only a resource for all those who identify as Latinx or have ancestral roots in Latin America and anyone engaged in advancing the human rights and dignity of Latinx migrant communities across the United States. This directory is a list of mental health professionals and not a recommendation or guarantee of quality service by LTAN. We highly encourage everyone to research and consult directly with providers before beginning services with them to ensure it is a good fit.
